Was passing today, cache is nicely tucked away.

Decided that if we were going to nip out and grab a cache today it would need to be one that was local and one soon as the weather does not look like it will hold out too long. Looking at the close to home map I see a number of puzzles that have solutions and final coordinates and just need visiting. I rounded up Monkey1_Fuller and Monkey3_Fuller and some Wellington Boots before heading out for this cache.

We parked up nearby and set out for this cache, half expecting the GPSr to play as it had done in this area once before. We got to GZ and were looking for the wrong type of cache so were unable to locate. We headed off for RR43 and after an easy find realised our mistake. When heading back past the hide was discovered easily enough. SL. TFTC.

We thought we would try for a FTF, but expected someone else to have been by now. We had got 2 FTFs earlier after I had finished work, but I had to go home for tea (grandparents were visiting).

I picked Pip up around 9pm and we headed straight over. Found the footpath and off we went, it was a very slippery, slidy and cold windy walk to GZ.

We arrived at GZ and GULP that's not going to be easy....full credit goes to Pip for managing to get up there and retrieve, he passed it down and we sorted out we needed. Blimey loads of treasures awaited us, fantastic to find a big box, we opened the log and woooo hooooooo another FTF! What a great start to the new year!

Disappointed at the lack of cakes though hee hee! I look forward to reading your book after Pip has finished with it.

Our last cache today and our first chirp. Saw what the location anagram was when we arrived at GZ. TFTC and all the others we have found today - now back to some more puzzle solving!

An unexpected change of plan last night meant that I was close to this series this morning and although I had not intended to do it today it was on the PQ and looked like a nice walk. It was only after the first few that I realised other logs made reference to clues and then reading the cache page I saw that you are supposed to come with a printout. Without that nor access to the internet in the field, I was disadvantaged. Each cache page states ‘no clue available’ which is not correct, for they are available elsewhere and I felt a little cheated that I could not see them.
I have not come across this way of presenting clues before, and don’t quite understand why they are not on the cache pages. I ended up with four DNF’s at 4, 11, 18 and 20. When I found number 12 I realised I should have looked in the same place for 11 so I should have got that one, but I could have done with clues for the others.

Nevertheless, this was a very enjoyable walk. Thankfully yesterdays torrential rain had gone and although it was very windy that did not spoil things. I liked the area round the lakes and thoroughly enjoyed the route along the waterfront. The tide was out and that made for an interesting terrain. It was fascinating to watch a mini use the causeway from the island and seemed to only just make it! There are some very good hides and of those I found the co-ords were spot on. Thank you very much for setting this series in a really lovely area.

Out with cookie and decided 'why not go and do the Essex 100?!' Got here and soon realised why not... haha. Cold and very windy day, and with a lack of food and drink supplies we decided after the first cache to turn around and save this for a sunny day!

This was one frustrating puzzle! Or to be more precise the hint anagram - couldn't work it out even though I kept pecking away at it. I had worked out the first part of the puzzle and got Dave to get the info for me as it was beyond my capabilities!
Then came the anagram - eventually Mr Crow told me how many letters were in each word but I still needed another teensy hint - thank you. Eventually knew what to do and the chickens gave up their secrets.
We came this way today especially for this cache as I had a perfect TB to go in it. No problems getting to GZ and we could see where it must be but NOOOOOOOO!!

Slipping our way towards this we noticed some people acting very suspiciously, and it turned out to be Chequerdog who had already done the hard part so we had a nice easy find! TFTC

At 4 years of age Bonzo has had a FTF - a First to Finish-Off! He has caught his first rodent and deposited the deceased Roly in the middle of the living room (thankfully not on the work top!) I am not impressed and think Bonzo needs archiving!

In the Tiptree area before going to London for the day. We made a short detour for two caches taking a chance from what we can remember as we do not have the coords with us. With luck on our side we signed 2 logs and of to London, getting ready for tomorrow as Junior J will be back after a months holiday in SA. T4TC

6th find of the day, went wrong way, we do not have the luxury of a gps. Still had a nice break and cup of tea by lake, weather was like an April day, a purfect place for a break. Soon had cache and off we went in pursuit of next cache. TFTC

7th cache of day and series. Bit tricky as a fisherman was close to cache. Found with the help of clues. Had a lovely walk around lakes, definately a lovely place to visit. TFTC

13th cache of day, my phone was all over the place here! but after a bit of wandering around, we kept looking and bingo, found it! Off we went for number 14, only trouble is sun has now gone and light is fading.. TFTC

Have been meaning to do this one for some time. Despite living nearby I have only visited this church once before and then it was in search of a long lost relative in the graveyard. On that occasion I approached from the park and drove down a track that was meant for pedestrians only (only realised what I had done when I left). On that occasion I though the church was very remote and quite spooky.

It looked completely different today - rather enchanting! Managed to find all but one of the graves. Had to leave to take youngest son to Tescos to stock him up before his returm to university. I'll be back to finish this one off.

After seeing Mr.Crow and his lovely Mark I Escort, we grabbed as many as we could before we had to head home as Pip had work.

Dogs got a bit of a run here, it's very muddy at the moment, but still a lovely walk, midnight was loving her first caching adventure.

The tower is bigger than it looks when close up, arrived at GZ and soon had the well hidden cache in hand.

We really didn't expect FTF on this one as it has been out for 2 weeks. Much fun was had when Indi invited us in, she even made us a cuppa, what a welcoming cat, she wouldn't let the dogs in though, insisted on them waiting outside, I suppose that can be excused, lol.

A great hide, giving this one a favourite.

This took a little while to suss, but we soon had it sorted, plotted it and it looked good, so off we went.

Once at GZ, we quickly spotted this very sneaky little hide, liked it a lot. Unrolled the log and were very happy to see a blank log still.

A great puzzle, gets a favourite from me too.

Left the phone in the car as I was sure I'd be able to find this one without the GPS. Thought I knew which side of the bridge it would be on but didn't find it so tried the far side. Not there either but realised where it would be when I returned to the original side of the bridge and sure enough, there it was! TFTC

1st find of the day but we found it lying on the grass so we signed the log and placed it up in the tree so hope we put it in the right spot t4tc

Came back today to finish what I'd started yesterday. Found the one grave that I'd failed to find yesterday. With all the numbers I needed, and the co-ordinates worked out, I'd soon found the cache. The trunks of some of these trees really are amazing. Took the Pathtag - thanks Mr Crow. Favourite from me for this one.

Another pleasant walk in the bright winter sunshine, soon at GZ, SL took Eeyore eraser and left an owl. TFTC.

Pleasant walk to GZ, quick find, sat on a log in bright sunshine to sign up, it felt just like spring. Took a star, and left an owl. TFTC.

Puzzle solved not so easy, cache found very easy. TFTC.

Quick stroll up to GZ, I spotted the hint, before the GPS. Sure enough there it was. Had to squeeze my name in the margin on the log sheet as it was full. TFTC. Oh look, its my 100th find, I'm going home now for a beer.

Out for a walk on a fresh frosty morning this was our first cache. Nice quick find at GZ. Took fridge magnet left trolley token. #142 TFTC

Solved the puzzle, and soon found. Those ducks make a lot of noise when you get up close don't they. I was going to take a photo, but the camara battery was flat. TFTC.

Finally managed to solve this puzzle. Shame we couldn't have done it for our 1000th seeing as Mr Crow is an old friend but we hadn't got together with rallisalli then! She gave us a final nudge in the right direction with how to work it out after you found the relative info. Until then we had gone on a path leading to the wrong conclusion with that info. Alls well that ends well & thank you rallisalli. An easy find once at GZ. TFTC and a favourite for confusing us.

Another DNF. Certain that I looked every where possible for this one.

Second attempt at this and we were convinced it was gone...up and down, down and up avoiding muggles..it just wasnt to be found..so on we went to Rusty which for some reason we had completely missed yesterday...Rusty in hand we turned back to go home..one more quick look as we climbed over and there it was...so if Old Brags is watching to see if we found it YES WE DID......little devil...how did we miss it..so feeling very smug and GeoJack done in after his two days of caching we came home and had a lovely roast dinner...what better way to spend a sunday...Thanks for all the caches..we had a great couple of days..and look forward to coming back to do the others. Another map puzzle but this time using something we had never seen before, did a bit of research online and eventually we got it, and after going wrong a few times we arrived at the start of the footpath. We struggled to get the geochecker to confirm the co-ords, but were confident, so decided to go and have a look, and were amazed when the GPS said 1ft away and there was the cache.

Not sure what went wrong here, solved the puzzle and put the co-ords in the checker which confirmed correct....but found the cache 0.1 away from where we had plotted, either we copied down the numbers wrong or put them in the GPS wrong....no idea, but luckily we found it anyway.

I really really loved this puzzle, right up my street, I love maps. It took us several hours to get the end, but it was so satisfying when we did.

Pulled up and we realised that the dogs would have to stay put, Benji in particular is partial to rabbit, lol, loads of dead ones piled up here which was a bit strange.

We were searching for quite a while for this one, when we both spotted it in the last place to look, a good hide.

A clever puzzle! We managed to solve it a couple of months ago. It took a little while to twig what was needed for the first stage, then the second stage took a bit more pondering. But eventually the "Mr Crow GZ Checker" said that we were correct!

On a visit to Great Yarmouth today, we decided to see if we could find the cache (and retrieve it, as requested). As the title suggested, it was quite a hike to GZ! But it was still enjoyable, with a great view of Breydon Water once we got there. Finding the cache wasn't too tricky - a bit of rummaging and Mr RJx2 soon spotted it.

Such a shame that this cache has only had two visitors. We enjoyed the puzzle, the hike and the find. Thank you, Mr Crow!

A very sad sight. We love old street furnature and this with its 3/4s was exceptional. Long may the cache and its photo remain. Cache ok today.

Last of the day and the sun has set. Hmmm 'This is not a footpath' so a minor detour and soon at gz. Gr @ 6ft had no problem extracting the lovely ammo box. Now this is where fun? began.
Obvious first, no joy. Perm all the possibles, no joy. Systematic approach, this could take a while. Getting dark now so alter strategy. Gilly approach, this feels good. Some time later much to our surprise and relief 'access all areas'. Still no idea about the puzzle solution. (A recent recurring habit! )

Off home now via the direct route! Should we spend the evening looking at RR50/56/58/75/76/78/82? Tempting as it may be a chinese meal won the day!

When this first appeared we both gave each other a blank look. Then we simultaneously said "conjecturing it is then"!
Heading Crow country way, and after a couple of other new nearby finds, we set about our task. Not in the first place we looked but neither was RR82, but never mind, carry on!. Then (no idea why) instinct said try down there. We thought perphas it would turn out to be a lost cause or some such similar phrase, and at first we thought it was. Continuing on we came to what just had to be right. First we czech-ed one and then the other. Yippee skippy.

Took a while to find this one using just the clues, we were looking in the wrong place for ages! gave up and carried on walking and then spotted another likely place and hey presto, there it was :0) We picked good weather to finish this series and it was a lovely walk. TFTC

Simon was on a Rally Round mission last night so we headed out to get some of them this morning. He couldnt get quite get geochecker to work for him on this one but he knew he was in the right area and luckily he was as it was a nice quick and simple find at GZ. TFTC

Spotted this very easy as its camo has come off...sat on top step to do the neccessary...a lady with three lovely dogs was coming up fast..so knew I needed to be on my feet before they arrived..too late a very friendly wet nose right in my ear.. (not the lady) You meet some lovely people out on these walks.. Thats it for today..thinking of approaching from Salcott to do some more..as this is a long walk round before we start..and as much as he loves it GeoJacks enthusiasm far outpaces his old legs...

Just realised have logged all the other caches for today..

Not off to a flying start on todays caching ..as we were being watched by the workers in the sewage station..

Against our better judgement we went through the gate that bore the sign..DANGEROUS DO NOT ENTER...as it was the only way to get to the cache. We soon had it in hand but fear that the spring tides will finally finish this one off as there is much erosion and in a couple of places just a peak of the once sea wall.. do we get recognition for the Last to find.. TFTC

First find of the day, nice easy find. Thank you for the map, very helpful. I now have a brand new shiny gps, just got to work out how to use it. So far the walk has been very scenic. TFTC

Our 9th cache of the day, feeling very weary, still another 9 caches to find in this series, for another day though. We had a great walk and looking forward to coming back to complete series. Now where is the pub! TFTC

After our sortie the other day we decided there was only one course of action. Solve the puzzle.
The idea we had soon started to look promising and very shortly we had co-ordinates that fitted. Confident, we decided not to use the Crowchecker and maintain an element of surprise.
Soon after parking we had the camo'd cache in hand. Almost two weeks since published and not logged as found.
We signed the log took the keyring and left a turtle. TFTC.
Heading back home we decided to take a short detour and see if Mr Crow was at home. Delighted to find him in, we enjoyed a chat over a most welcome cup of coffee. (Thanks)
As we left we remebered that we'd forgot to ask him about the puzzle anagram, four 'words' three vowels, interesting. Ah well, still a favorite from us.

This was the first of the day, we parked up and took the lovely walk down to this one through the fields, a very muddy walk as the footpaths had not been marked by the farmer (as the description says!), however it was great, the dogs were off their leads and having a great time. Really feels like you are in the middle of nowhere.

Once at GZ the cache was quickly in hand.

Having found this first the first time round, it seemed rude not to do so again now that it's moved to Essex. The solution fell nicely into place and on a path well travelled by, moreso than the last.

Well what to say about this one lol. This was actually the first Rally Round I ever looked at when it first came out, and I spent days and days looking at it, trying everything but couldn't get anything to work, so had shelved it. We got it back out again a while back and had another look and wooooo hooooooo this time we got it.

Picked up whilst out on a walk with the dogs today, a lovely walk, although very muddy, the dogs were having a great time though.

Nice to get this smiley on the map lol, great puzzle and final location.

Puzzle anagram solved - Bah!

Having spotted at lunchtime that someone else had solved this one I arrived not anticipating a blank log, so was pleasantly surprised to find one.
As I was in the area, I walked over from RR50 and was "chased" down by a farmer on quad bike - I guess that'll teach me for having a new leary torch that would illuminate any passing aeroplanes.
Pleading an evenings stroll, I was very pointedly directed towards the nearest lane.
Ah well he drove off and I picked my way in the direction of the cache by moonlight!

Found the footpaths around here a bit confusing and we ended up on the wrong side of a ditch at one point, don't think they get walked very much. Lovely though, we didn't meet a single person, really feels like you are in middle of nowhere, love it.

We had an excellent walk, thank you Mr Crow. Found this cache easily. Just two left on this series to go, we have not had much sucess with these two, but that was before my new GPS :0) Definately recommend this series and walk.

3rd find of the day, the sun has brought out a lot of walkers today. Again we had to wait as a couple of muggles were lost and needing directions, we pointed them in right direction and retrieved cache. TFTC

So flask full off coffee and biscuits etc packed we set off for the day from Salcott..picking up H & B's Church micro on route... I will say this only once..the walk as was the day stunning...we signed all logs THANKS for all the caches..

This should have been my first cache of the day, but ended up being the last! Why, when I parked up in the morning opposite the cache site, there was a gentlman doing some pruning work in the front garden. Thought it would look a bit odd if I started checking the area out for the cache! So, on my way back from finishing the Tolleshunt Major series I stopped off. This time no-one around.

Picked up a two GC's and dropped off 2 GCs.

Using my Oregon 400t I have found a chirp before, but not today. The nearest I could get was about 40ft and then the GPS kept sending me into the field. It searhed for at least 20mins, but did not manage to connect with the chirp. shame. Will have to come back another day.

After solving RR27 & RR28 today and having an hour to kill we thought we'd go and grab these today. We had another member in the team today who took control of the GPS which took us straight to GZ. After solving RR27 & RR28 (One of the easier puzzles to solve) today and having an hour to kill we thought we'd go and grab these today. The added member of our team had us walking in circles to this one. On our way we bumped into Joan and had a chat with her about all the caches on the heath. SL. At last this one is found, it was where we had always guessed but couldn't sort out the puzzle. But thanks to a hint from Mr Crow it can now be removed from the many of rally rounds still to do! Tftc

Having been on a puzzle solving mission for a few days we decided today we would come and find a few of the nearby puzzles that we have solved.

We arrived to a very familiar GZ, the ground was nice and frosty. Jen went in search of the well hidden cache that was soon within her midst. I Jen enjoyed solving this puzzle, now that they foggy baby brain is clearing Im finding the puzzles a little (i stress a little) easier to solve. TFTC

Having been on a puzzle solving mission for a few days we decided today we would come and find a few of the nearby puzzles that we have solved.

Another fab puzzle that Jen solved this time relatively quickly, really enjoyed this one alot. At GZ we had to bide our time as typically a car was pulled up nearby so we drove around and returned to luckily find they had gone. Brilliant hide, was a little worried as is a bit exposed but I dont suppose many people will notice. TFTC

Out for an afternoon walk with BACCS today and went hunting for this after solving the puzzle today. Spied the cache from the wrong side and had to make a quick detour back the right side to retrieve the cache. Pleased that we had the correct combination on the first try! Took 2 teddies and a medal, left trolley tokens and jute bag - will return to leave more goodies shortly as we weren't prepared for three children taking something each! SL TFTC #166

Simon solved this one on Thursday night relatively quickly, he was so so pleased with himself especially as he solved the anagram within about a minute... we have been practising with these anagrams. We got to GZ and Simon went in search, he soon found in what was the only logical place although it took a little retrieving, another nice hide. The sun is now starting to shine. Perfect morning. As I had just finished Tolleshunt Major Tour, I thought I would give this a go. I've never done a Wherigo so wasn't quite sure what I needed to do. Once started it was clear. Good fun, especially when you are not sure where you are going to end up! Thanks for putting this together.

An insight into what the puzzle was about is a happy side effect of not using a gps. Pleased to see our second thoughts were correct.

We somehow felt that this had already been found, but as it was not logged I(Gr) was 'allowed' to go and look. Not much in the way of preparation required as a very useful nearby landmark had been identified via Google Earth.

A drive over from visiting Stan's, then a pleasant short walk from the car. Circumnavigating a recent obstruction arrived at gz. Sure enough our instincts were correct. Well done James.

Thanks Ray for another interesting puzzle, most aptly named as our dictionary has the following definitions:

2. very unlikely to happen;

Yesterday began with a woeful colapse by England in the test match followed by an excellent result at Anfield. These minor events had meant we'd not planned on going out caching. So after popping out for a couple of maintenance checks we returned to tackle a few puzzle cache issues. It was only as Gilly was getting ready for work did we spot this had been published. After some gobbledgook along the lines of 'BoDMAS reverse Polish' did we make some progress. Then came the fairly difficult bit, but after a while some further progress. Very neat.
A look on Google Earth and though possible, it didn't feel like Mr Crow's style. Hmmm. Paused for a while then returned. Of course! A beautiful and elegant solution. I(Gr) absolutely love this puzzle.

Today began with a quick look at Remote Crow then a bit of prep. I(Gr) noted some salient facts and features as I was travelling co-driverless. Arriving at my chosen parking I set off. The watery sun struggling to pierce the lifting mist. Shortly I realised we had been here before, and enroute looked for a previous find. (Failed to see but pleased to say saw on my return).
As I neared gz I racked my memory for the location anagram. This crocs red? No, oh yes definitely. A momentary doubt then looked a bit harder then found. Well hidden.

I really enjoyed my walk along the wall today, it was very muddy at times and we had a small sprinkleing of snow today.

We used the parking waypoint provided and soon made our way to the first micro which ended up being the trickyest of the trail.

I really like the way it was all set out!

Having walked up this footpath last week we felt quite confident but then were scared out of our wits when a bird scarer went off in the field next to us. Sorted out the answer to this one during the week and found the cache today. Path is slippery at the moment with the bad weather, and the log is still very damp. Nice to be able to solve one of your puzzles Mr Crow. TFTC

Out on a lunchtime cache with Mrs_Fuller and Monkey5_Fuller as the other monkeys are at school today. Working from home does have it benefits sometimes as heading out into the snow on the trail of a long solved Rally Round goes to prove
I was not taking too many chances with the roads so took the long way around to park up nearby. We got to the footpath and followed a single set of footprints in the snow all the way to GZ, the footprint continued on were as we did not A quick and easy spot even in the snow. SL. TNLN. TFTC.

Nice evening out for some local caching. The weather was perfect for a change - no wind, rain or mud – just an eerie silence. Very much enjoyed the puzzles, was looking forward to start on them after work. Between the two of us we manage to solve a few, leaving some for another night. Well done to the Little Pazzer now under the wing of the Crow. Wonder what the two will come up with next, looking forward to them. There were some nice containers among the ones we did and to finish the evening of we manage to sign one of the Crows logs. Thanks for the evenings outing.

What can we say Mr Crow. What a lovely series of caches on a beautiful circuit. Our 6th find of the day in total but our 4th on the Tollesbury Wick Marshes. We literally had to dig this one out as it was covered and buried under deep snow. Found it eventually though thanks to GPS and spot on co-ordinates. TFTC :-)

Another great find in this lovely series of very well maintained caches. Our 7th find of the day so 7/7 so far. 5 finds in this series of caches. Not sure how many more we will get through as it is so bitterly cold and the sun is going down. Will have to come back another day to complete the circuit (maybe in the summer when it's warmer). Let's see how many more we can do before we get frostbite!!!

Another one found :-) We just don't want to stop, even in all this snow and the freezing cold. These finds are all for you Nan as we know how much you loved living in Tollesbury. All these caches has made this wonderful walk (and our journey down from Oxford) all so worthwhile. What a beautiful scenic walk which we've never even done despite living here once myself! 8/8 finds today so far. Our 6th on this circuit.....onto the next one :-)

Woooooo Whoooooo!!!! Found another. What a glorious view. Tide was out, but so peaceful and lovely just to look out to sea. 9th find of the day. 7/18 on the essex 100 part 3 - Tollesbury Wicks Marshes.Going to have to finish soon as sun going down very quickly and everything freezing even more than it is already. One more I think then home!

Had to dig in the snow to find this one as the snow is soooo deep! Dug it all away fine though to find our last find of the day. We will have to come back and complete the circuit another day. Need to go home as its getting dark and so bitterly cold. A lovely set of caches so far though. Will definately be returning. Perhaps when the weather is warmer and there's no snow around!!!! All done for today, thank you Mr Crow for a lovely meander today. We finish today with a 10/10 record of caches found. 8 of these on the Essex Wick Marshes Circuit - Essex 100 Part 3. So 10 more still to find on our next visit, so definately will be back sometime to complete - just wished we'd started earlier today as reckon we could have completed it all if we had!

Nice little cache secretly stashed. Watch out for dog walking muggles. This was our third find of the day but second find on the Tollesbury circuit. So, so far 2/18 on this beautiful walk. Third find of the day in total though. Got to go back as we've walked straight past Essex 100 03-17 doh! Don't want to miss that one out! Off to retrace our steps......

Love these caches! Beautiful day but freezing cold. This is our 5th find of the day but our third on the Tollesbury Wick Marshes Circuit. Got to move on to next one quickly before we get too cold. Keep on moving - that's our strategy.

Came to Tollesbury today to visit my Nan and my daughters great Nan, and decided to start at number 18 as we didn't know how many we would be able to find on the circuit as its freezing cold today and lots of snow on the ground that has frozen solid and is all crunchy under foot, which makes it harder to walk than usual. A beautifully sunny day but bitterly cold. Good job we've wrapped up warm!!! On to the next find now :-)

Spotted the obvious location very quickly but no cache was found. Then the youngest member said joyfully "I've found it!" There it was sitting on the floor - an even better find due to the snow! Placed back where we think it should have been. SL TFTC #185

Have struggled with this puzzle for some time but thanks to the hint have now managed to get coords. Found the cache with a bit of hunting - it was a bit iced in, but nice and dry. TFTC

After weeks of trying to solve this one and knowing we were going down the correct route thanks to a hint from Ray we still couldn't solve this one. Geochecker took a hammering! Decided to go for a walk and hunt without knowing the co-ords we found RR45 by chance. Having read the previous posts, we took Olive up on her offer and called in to say hi. She very kindly gave us a clue as to the location and when she did it dawned on us we'd looked there but not hard enough. Such a pleasure to find a cache after so many hours trying to solve it (our second bit of luck of the day!) #184

In a desperate search for RR32 we found a likely spot for a cache. Tucked inside was a carrier bag that someone had kindly dumped there. Took the bag to dispose of properly. JT looked, nothing found, GT looked and found a cache! Was it the elusive RR32? No, it was 45 which we hadn't even looked to solving yet! What a bonus, sneaky, cheating cache this was. We had quite a walk to GZ we suspected another hide may be hidden down here so unsuccessfully did some conjecturing on our way along. There was a baby rabbit sitting at the side of the footpath as we walked past. He didn't even notice us standing right next to him and sat still for a minute before running off. Our cacher senses have obviously improved though as Andy spotted something and said "That'd be a really good place for a cache" I looked at my GPS. "No, still 450ft to GZ. Not this cache and too close to be another" We looked anyway and it was indeed this cache. Cass had read the numbers off the hydrant wrong. Lol! Really lovely walking along here in the snow. TFTC!

We came across this as we returned from the Braxted Trail recognising the tree from the picture (won't mention what Mrs C'Dog called the tree) Mr C'Dog quickly found and we signed the cache will now try and solve the puzzle backwards without the help of a curry and a bottle of wine like last night!!! Across the deep snowy fields we go! Wasn't sure where the footpath was by looking across the field, but following the marking on our GPS map and arrived safely near GZ. Thankfully we hadn't tried walking in front of the (Mr) Crow scarer as that went off and made a huge bang. Scared the life out of me!

Got to the point where we could cross the bridge. Andy decided that we shouldn't and that we were already on the right side of the field. Trek, trek, trek through the snow. Nope. Wrong side Andy! (Andy got told off) We then made our way over the bridge and to GZ for a quick find. TFTC!

We were a bit late getting up this morning and stepped out of the house only to be covered by sleet! Hmm... Should we really take the drive down to get the Rally Rounds? Could leave it until another day... But sandwiches were made and bags were packed and there was nothing else we would be doing so we decided to brave the horrible weather. It was a good call as by the time we were in the area there was nothing to worry about apart from the odd slippery patch.

I'd solved this puzzle agggggges ago. Can't quite remember how, although remember it didn't tax my brain too much. We parked up at the recommended spot and took the walk to GZ. Once there we had to wait for some muggles to pass before starting our search. Lots of possible places and we hunted around to no avail. Thought I'd spotted the cache wedged between a tree. Turned out to be a dead bird who had just got stuck and died! Very strange! I then remembered that it was highly likely I had solved the location anagram, pulled out the notes from my bag and there it was, all solved! Of course that's where it is!!! Had to brush away all of the snow from on top of it first and then had a mini mission trying to open it, but we got there in the end! A good find to get us started! TFTC!

Quite an easy RR to solve. Enjoyed it though. Poor ducks were a bit stuck today as their pond had frozen over! I couldn't get the Geochecker to give me a thumbs up, but went to the place I suspected anyway and made a quick find. TFTC!

I stared at this puzzle for many hours. However it wasn't until later that I realised I'd missed something that would have helped me a lot before I started staring at it! Once that bit was sorted out I could try and get somewhere. Did I get somewhere? Well, no! So I put on my hard hat, and steel-capped boots. Grabbed my pick-axe and hacked the answer out! How naughty! Had a few likely places, a handful of incorrect geocheckers, but it wasn't too hard to get the answer. I of course confessed my sins to Mr. Crow who then told me the correct way of solving it, which is completely awesome and makes me feel quite guilty! It's a really good puzzle and I should have had the patience to persevere with it, but it's the only RR so far that I've not solved properly so I reckon that's OK!

Quite a hike to GZ indeed, but very worth it. I made the find whilst Andy stood by incase I needed a hand! TFTC! Undoubtedly a favourite!

Another one that's my kinda puzzle. Really liked it! At GZ we fumbled around a bit. Somehow ignoring the obvious location. I read the logs and one by Mr. Crow himself inspired Andy to "get in there" and have a better look. Very soon he had the cache. Andy got told off though as he should have looked there first as it's the kind of hide he's good at retrieving!!! TFTC!
